My name is Trisha van den Brink and I have been a practicing Naturopath / Herbalist / Nutrition & Remedial Massage Therapist in my Clinic at Boonah for 16 years.

In 1972, when my husband Louis and I arrived in the Scenic Rim, we fell in love with the land and its people. We decided to settle here after 8 years of plantation living in Papua New Guinea where we grew rubber and copra and reared cattle.

Since then we have raised three wonderful children and have had the privilege to be involved in the local community through various activities and events.

As a health practitioner it is my passion to work with you, my client, to create optimum health and wellness, increase your energy levels, relieve any joint, muscle/sciatic pain, migraines or visceral pain and promote a holistic beauty that radiates from within you.

My passion is natural health and peeling away the layers to discover each individual’s core need. Ongoing study and experience gained over the many years keeps me up-to-date with the latest discoveries and technology: Information that is available to my patients as part of their healing journey.

It’s about working with my patients to find the cause of presenting  problems by manipulating muscles and ligaments, strengthening the immune system with the use of Herbal tinctures, nutritional supplements, food choices, advice and support to make changes. Little by little, small actions that contribute to the powerful  changes in overcoming challenges to health result in a greater sense of well-being.

My goal is to work with you, my patient, to listen to your story, hear what you say and together make a plan to create a practical pathway of natural health to achieve healing and a balanced body/mind/energy/spirit in a pain free body.

My Philosophy

I am passionate about creating optimum health for my patients. My goal is to empower those who come to my clinic by giving the most current and up-to-date information leading to greater self awareness and knowledge, allowing powerful life changing decisions for health and wellbeing

In many cases, this has been life changing as it has helped solve problems to long standing issues my clients have been unable to find answers for with previous treatments.

This important and detailed information is gathered through my attendance at many seminars, symposiums, conferences and workshops. This allows me to keep abreast of the latest research, clinical studies and discoveries in the world of nutrition, bio-chemistry, general health and body therapies.

My aim is to share this cutting edge and often complex health and well-being information with my clients in an informative and easy to understand way. I achieve this by including ‘in-clinic’ testing and procedures, with a personalized program for each patient to achieve a balanced, energized body, mind and spirit. So you can live to your full potential and enjoy your life with excellent health, energy and vitality.

My Story

We arrived in Australia in 1972 with 2 small children, a new country, a new experience!

I was born & reared in England, where I stayed till leaving for Canada in response to the ‘travel-bug’.

In those days travel by ship was the best for budgeting – 5 to a cabin, lower decks! Social life was great with new friends made to share accommodation on arrival at destination. Work in commonwealth countries was no problem.

I met my husband in Vancouver, that was quite a story, but has to wait for another time.

Our first 5yrs was spent in PapuaNewQuinea, as it was then. My husband managed a rubber, copra and cattle plantation until we decided to emigrate to Australia to own our own farm.

Our third child was born shortly after we arrived and considers himself the Real Aussie in the family!

Life was a struggle for a few years but we toughed it out and survived, even through the days of 17%- 20% for the mortgage on the farm.

We were involved with the local school P & C meetings, committees, fund raising etc.

Horses have always been part of my life, when the children joined the local Pony Club, I became involved as instructor and secretary. The yearly gymkhana, trail rides and camps were highlights, lots of organising but much fun for us all.

Louis was a golfer and for many years we organised an annual golf fund raiser, supporting Childhood Cancer, the funds went to purchase accommodation for families to stay in Brisbane when country children had to be hospitalised. It was a cause dear to us with a family member involved.

Life as a Naturopath came about after a sudden hiccup with health. My doctor was concerned and organised all the usual blood tests, scans, and specialist visits which did not suggest any condition to explain what had happened or how I felt – she told me there was nothing wrong apart from a couple of miner things that were of no concern.

My body knew things weren’t right and needed help so I went to see a Medical Herbalist. She worked with a lady who did Pathology in Clinic. It showed where the problem lay, and with appropriate Herbal Medicine and quality Herbal supplements my body slowly started to heal.

As time progressed and I felt better and stronger than ever before, I think this was where the seed was nurtured to go deeper and study more of the body.

What a fascinating discovery it has been over the last 16 years, and in deed continues to be!

The best part is supporting my patients on their healing journey.
